Moneyrow Beans was founded by Vicky Weddell out of her passion for coffee and for coffee-loving communities around the world. Having worked in the speciality coffee industry in the Middle East for some years in training and events, she wanted to bring great coffee to her local community in Berkshire and started it all from her garden shed in Moneyrow Green during the first COVID lockdown in 2020.

They now roast their coffee in small batches in the Coffee Den in Moss End Garden Village. Moneyrow Beans is also proud to be the first UK Distributor for Gorilla Conservation Coffee, a social enterprise which supports coffee farmers in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda as part of Conservation Through Public Health programme.

All their coffees are sourced with an ethos of traceability and care for the coffee-producing communities at origin.

Frequently asked questions about exhibiting at these exhibitions.

WHAT TYPE OF EVENT IS IT?: This is a "by invitation" collaborative exhibition of 23 great local (local to Windsor, England) creatives; producers of original art/photos/sculpture,art-greeting cards and prints. Please note this is not a Craft Fayre!  Artists are allocated a display space roughly 5 metres wide and 2 metres high. Artists are expected to attend at some time during the exhibition, but  all artists must attend the VIP Event 7.00-9.00PM on Saturday 22nd July

CAN ANYBODY EXHIBIT? No sorry, you must have been invited to exhibit because spaces are very limited. So if  you have not been invited to exhibit but want to exhibit in future 2 day exhibitions at Brownlow Hall contact Jonathan Greenyer  jonathan@windsor-artists.org or by WhatsApp. Please include your full contact details so you can be re-contacted by your preferred medium ie Email, WhatsApp, Message etc.

WHERE IS IT? The Exhibition is in Brownlow Hall, Newell Green Warfield RG42 6AB. An easy access venue with plenty of free off-road parking, seating, refreshments, heating, toilets and the hall is locked and secure overnight.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO EXHIBIT? There is a non-refundable attendance fee of £35 per exhibitor to exhibit any work in this exhibition.  This £35 is payable by funds transfer after the exhibition, when you will be be sent an invoice/statement net of any revenue received from sales of your work during the exhibition.

HOW MANY PIECES CAN BE EXHIBITED? Individual exhibitors are allocated a display board space (similar to this pictured below) OR a length of wall/picture rails approximately 5 metres long and 2 metres high. Within this space, not above it or to the side of it,  you can hang as many or few pieces of framed art/photos as look right without it looking overcrowded, scruffy or a mess. You can bring additional work and store it in your car,  to replace any items sold. NOTE: You cannot just pin art to the display boards as if it were a notice board. If your display looks a mess we will recommend changes to the layout.

HOW IS ARTWORK SELECTED? You chose your exhibition portfolio, there is no preview panel or pre-scrutiny.  BUT, if you want to be considered again, the overall creative quality of your work must be high, well finished, well framed, well executed, well presented, well labelled. Your art should be your best.

This is your opportunity to present a range of your work, to take risks and to impress. We do reserve the right to remove work that may offend a family audience, or manifests blatant copyrite infringement. Mixed media is welcome. We recommend that you bring art in a range of prices and media to sell. Greeting cards go well and act as colourful business cards, maybe the next time they will buy a picture. Prints sell well especially if the orginal is on display as well. Make sure your prints/copies are clearly marked as such.

CAN I BRING CARDS AND RACKS AND EASELS: Yes. Exhibitors are provided with tables on request for FREE, you can bring your own if you want a particular size of table. There is space for easels, art/print racks and table or hanging displays of Art "Greeting" Cards. They will be adjacent to the artist’s pictures. All art work in racks must be wrapped in cellophane and individually and clearly labelled to aid the sales process. Mains power is available in display spaces if required, ask in advance, only PAT tested equipment allowed

WHEN IS THE ART HANGING/SET-UP TIME? You are allocated a space, you will be sent a layout in advance, and you the Artists hang your own work, or make arrangements with someone to do it for you. The organisers cannot hang your work, but we can provide an artist Mentor to help you. Please ask.
  • 1) Preferred Hanging time is on Friday afternoon: Come and hang your work on FRIDAY 21st July BETWEEN 3.00pm and 6.00pm
  • 2) Late hanging time on Saturday Morning. On the day of the exhibition SATURDAY 22nd July from 9.00am but it must be ready for opening time of 12.00
All packing or wrapping materials should be taken home.

WHEN IS TAKE-DOWN?: Exhibitors remove all their unsold exhibits on Sunday 23rd July 2023 at 5.00 pm – no earlier. Nothing can be left in the hall on Sunday evening.

HOW ARE SALES HANDLED DURING THE EXHIBITION? WE ACCEPT CASH OR CARD PAYMENT INCLUDING AMEX. When an exhibit is bought, customers can take the items away immediately after payment. A bubble wrapping service is provided for free.

1 If we process and art sale through the exhibition SUMUP CARD PAYMENT MACHINE, then you (the exhibitor) will incur payment handling fees of 5% off the sales value.

2  If the payment is cash we note the sale, retain the cash and hand it to the artist free of any financial handling fee.

3 If you take payment direct by any means, the sale is recorded to monitor the success of the event, but no financial handling fee is charged

WHAT ABOUT MARKETING & PROMOTING THE EXHIBITION: In addition to the organisers' marketing campaigns, we expect exhibitors to promote that they are exhibiting via social media and whatever means possible. You will all be posted a media pack including printed A5 flyers and VIP Meet and Greet invitations. A3 and A4 posters are available on request.

HAVE YOU ANY TIPS ON MARKETING FOR THE EXHIBITORS THEMSELVES? Successful artists today need to really "get out there" and undertake a sustained integrated marketing programme that could include email, word of mouth, posters in shops and libraries and on fences etc, printed biographies, A5 handouts/flyers, social media including Instagram, Facebook, LinkIn etc, your own websites, direct invites to prospects and plenty of lively creative noise to promote yourself as an artist and your appearance at this event. Customers interested in your work will find you by one or more of these methods and may then follow your media and attend your exhibitions to meet you in person. It may take a while to secure this level of following but without making the effort how will potential customers ever find you? Do you have business cards to hand out? Is there a printed bio telling the world about YOU? Are your contact details on everything you produce? Want more help marketing? We can provide advice

HOW DO WE HANG OUR PICTURES?   YOU THE ARTIST (or representative) HANG YOUR OWN WORK. There are professional style display boards or picture-rails on walls from which to hang your art.  Unlike some other exhibitions, here you do not use nails, screws or any destructive hanging systems. We provide you free of charge with all the hanging systems you will require - all you have to do is ensure your art has hanging "strings" or D-Rings on the back. No D-Rings or Strings = your art will not be hung.

You can ask for assistance or advice, we will provide an artist Mentor to help you hang your work

Method 1) The first is for the picture rails (Left Picture below) it is exhibition grade nylon hanging threads (perlons) from STAS with adjustable hanging hooks.
Method 2) The second for the boards (Right picture below) is a chain hanging system with S hooks for your art. In both cases you can hang two pieces of art per cord/chain  at the right height.

staspngexhibitionchainsjpg
HOW SHOULD ART BE LABELLED? Every single piece of art, craft, photo or greeting card must be clearly and individually labelled. For hanging art the label will be attached to the boards (pins or velcro) or the wall (Blue Tac), it must face the public so they can read it!!!  If you are selling cards they must carry your name and the unit price, so the Cashier can sell it at the correct price. No price, no sale.

Details on the label for hanging work should include a) the artist’s full name, b) the media used, c) the title, d) a selling price If an exhibit is not properly labelled it will not be included in the exhibition.

WHAT ABOUT STEWARDING AND MEET AND GREET AND DUTIES?: There will be a rota for duties, yes you the artists help run the exhibition. This is how the fees are kept so low. There will be a Bubble Wrapping rota throughout the two days. Also the public like to meet the artists, and you can convert a view to a sale better than anyone. If you cannot attend at all then dont bother exhibiting, I have plenty of artists willing to show up for some time during the exhibition and 100% attend during the MEET & GREET. We do employ staff to serve refreshments and wash up.

WHEN IS TAKE-DOWN?: Exhibitors remove all their unsold exhibits on Sunday 23rd July 2023 at 5.00 pm – no earlier. Nothing can be left in the hall on Sunday evening.

NOTE: This is a friendly cooperative art exhibition everyone works together to make it a success that is also how we keep costs down.  We organise this and other events to help local artists secure attention and sales and to meet other artists (and the public). All exhibiting artists are expected to help promote and run the event to make it a successful and enjoyable event. There are no paid labourers, expensive technicians, superannuated hanging-assistants - its all down to the artists and their families.
