Genine Rainsborough: “I am passionate about painting and have been creative all of my life – including designing my own clothes and knitwear, interior design and large-scale stage set design. Inspired by colour, style and form – particularly light and shade; my artwork often has an unusual twist with colour or quirky humour.
I can paint on a grand scale and designed and created stage sets for the local Amateur Dramatics groups, one of which was submitted for a NODA award.
I undertake many commissions and my paintings have travelled worldwide to their new homes. I am always looking for inspiration for my next project, there is no stopping me getting the paints out
